Romansch Language
Romansh Linguistics and Literature provides students with knowledge of
the fourth regional language of Switzerland and its historic, geographic
and social diversity, as well as an understanding of Romansh literature
from its beginnings until the present day, both with special
consideration of its place as a minority language subject. The analytic
and methodological skills which students acquired in the Bachelor’s
Degree course will be broadened and deepened. Alongside their academic
analytic training, students also develop their spoken and written
linguistic proficiency. The language of instruction is Romansh and the
literature will be read in its original language. The Master’s Degree
qualification provides students employment opportunities in areas in
which academic expertise in R Romansh is essential, for example,
cultural management, journalism, the publishing industry and libraries.
It is an also a precursor for further academic qualifications.
